Q: Why is NH kettle Korn Different?
A: NH Kettlekorn.com is different because we are "THE OTHER"
At our shows, people stop by to watch ZZPOP cook Kettle Corn and ask questions all day long .This one guy stood out due to the questions he asked. A scout working for the big Orvillllle guy. After he asked a few questions I asked one of my own."What does the RED PARKA PUB (a really good steak house restaurant) and NH Kettle Corn have in common.?" They both take the very best ingredients and come up with the taste sensations that has people coming back for more, week after week ,year after year. He replied yea so?? Our kettle corn is handmade, not mass produced and full of preservatives. Some Kettle corn is air popped and then spray on the artificial flavoring. That Orvilllllllllle guy just doesn't get it .He knew I knew who he was spying for and his eyes lit up. To get our NH Kettle corn taste they have to use the same cooking process and even then you have to know what you are doing. Compare steak house to steak house and you'll find you simply eat at one and love dining at the other, that's us. You will love snacking at "THE OTHER" .
Q: Do you do shows and special functions?
A:If you're interested in having fresh popped homemade Kettle Corn at your special events, festivals or corporate functions. NH Kettle Corn is available for all the above as well as fund raisers and street fairs, just about anywhere large crowds gather. NHkettleKorn.Com can also be given as gifts and wedding favors. Just call or e-mail us and we will be happy to discuss your ideas.
Q: How do you get such a large kernels... twice the size of the other guys?
A: The short answer: Bob (Nick name ZZPOP} can cook his corn so hot the kernels EXPLODE instead of POP to almost twice the size of other corn without burning the batch. Not all kettle Corn is created equal. Popcorn kernels contain moisture. When kernels are heated to about 400 degrees, the moisture turns to steam, expands, and tries to escape. When there's enough pressure built up for the steam to burst through the kernel's hard outer shell, we hear the sound of the kernel-POP. The kernel turns itself inside out, and that's the part we eat.
Q: Why do you heat your kettles so Hot?
A: As Bob tells folks at the shows " the other guys pop their corn at temperatures hot enough to pop but too cool to get the full Kettle Corn flavor we get. Our recipe calls for all my BTUS of propane going full throttle". Another reason is the higher heat causes the corn to explode and it comes out larger, more tender and gives us more corn to coat. I guess the other guy's cook cooler because it's easier to clean up at the end of the day! |
